Karl Blossfeldt, a German professor, is best known for his precise macro photography of plants. From 1898 to 1932, Blossfeldt, a self-taught photographer had amassed an archive of thousands of photographs of plants that he used as models to teach his students.

Strikingly modern and inherently beautiful, Blossfeldt's photographs of plants are as appealing today, as they were when they were first introduced to the public in his two landmark books Urformen der Kunst, (Archetypal Forms of Art), 1929 and Wundergarten der Natur, (The Wondergarden of Nature), 1932.

Material & Quality

We print on 200-320gsm poly cotton canvas. Poly cotton canvas is a blend of natural cotton and synthetic polyester resulting in a strong, waterproof and crease-resistant material that retains vivid colors for at least 10 years.

Our prints are produced using the Giclée printing process. The term Giclée printing is based on the French word "gicler" meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray". This process uses industry leading inkjet printers with high precision nozzles and archival ink to produce gallery-quality prints.

Unlike normal commercial digital printing, which produces prints that are not archival and are susceptible to damage from the sun and humidity, the Giclée printing method produces prints that are designed to last.

Once you've seen the quality of a canvas Giclée print, you'll never want another digitally printed paper poster anymore!

Packaging & Sizing

The prints will be rolled up and packed in a sturdy PVC tube. Stretcher bars and metal frame components will also be packaged securely to prevent damage. As our prints are hand cut, there may be a slight 2-3mm in size discrepancy.
